VISITING STUDENTS
|

Senior Medical Students who wish to take a visiting clinical elective at UAB Huntsville must complete the application process. Each application form is available in word (linked below) or pdf format (download at bottom of page) and each form contains the appropriate instructions and contact information.
Visiting Elective Application (domestic only)
* International Student Visiting Elective Application * Some things to keep in mind...
- Applications are not accepted until April 1 prior to the academic year requested.
- Applications are not reviewed until UAB Clinical student schedules are finalized in June prior to the academic year requested.
- Students must be in the final year of training at their home school OR have completed at least one year of core clerkship rotations.
- The maximum length of participation is two (2) months.
- It is the students' responsibility to ensure that all application materials are complete. Students with incomplete applications will not be scheduled, and will not participate in any courses.
- Applicants must be actively enrolled in a program leading to either an MD or DO degree.
- Applicants must be paying tuition to their home school during the time they will be attending courses at UAB.
- Applicants must have the approval of the administration of their home school to attend courses at UAB.
* International students will not be accepted without a letter of support from a UAB School of Medicine Faculty Member. Please note that it is always the student's responsibility to request and obtain such support * |
